By accessing or using CloseMate ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. Description of Service

CloseMate is a month-end close workflow and task management application designed for accounting and finance teams. CloseMate provides task tracking, scheduling, and workflow tools, but does not provide financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice. You remain solely responsible for the accuracy and compliance of your accounting processes and financial reporting.

3. Account Registration and Security

You must register for an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must immediately notify CloseMate of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. User Data and Intellectual Property

You retain all ownership rights to the data, task information, schedules, and workflow inputs you submit to the Service. You grant CloseMate a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, and process User Data solely for the purpose of providing and operating the Service.

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, attempt to hack or reverse-engineer the Service, upload malicious code, or use the Service to transmit highly restricted data not intended for standard B2B SaaS environments.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CloseMate and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. CloseMate is a workflow tracking tool; we are not responsible for missed financial deadlines, audit failures, or accounting errors.

7. Termination & Changes

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time. We may modify these Terms at any time, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
